Hi, I’m Aimee.
I love romance novels. I love the will-they-or-won’t-they tension, the heartache and angst, and the joyful resolution in the happily-ever-after.
I am also an academic. I have spent countless hours reading craft books and dissecting my favorite romance novels to figure out just what makes them so heel-kickingly delicious.
I hope that each one of my novels and short stories clearly shows my love for the genre and for the craft of writing.
Most of all, I hope you love reading them as much as I’ve loved writing them!
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things.
There is so much to love about the romance genre. Here are some of my all-time favorite tropes and themes, which you are bound to find in my work!
Enemies to Lovers
That line between love and hate is razor-thin for all my favorite protagonists.
Opposites Attract
Nothing says romance like finding that missing piece of yourself in someone else.
Competence Kink
Watching a smart, capable person be absolutely decimated by love is sheer delight.
Hidden Past
Great characters have great backstories, whether they want you to know it or not.
Found Family
Romance isn’t just about the couple; it’s also about all the friends we’ve made along the way.
Workplace Romance
The only thing worse than having a giant crush is having a giant crush on your coworker.
